This project is about making the scoliosis bracing suitable for water.
combining materials such as plastic and polyethylene foam.
Creating a new form wich enables to support the spine properly.
The bracing takes action in straightening the spine using physical resistance.
My target audience is the people who need to wear bracing for the benefit of their health.
It is a human and emotional need,
that is reflected in the observation that the patients do not receive all the optimal tools in order to treat their medical problem.
The objective of this device is -
1. Enable independence, the ability to exercise sports which will help the patience health condition.
2. Enable exposure while wearing the device minimizing embarrasment and shame.
The patiences cannot swim due to the lack of fit between their medical devices to water,
they are dependant upon others while excercizing sports- such as hydrotherapy.
Optimizing configuration and form-shape characteristics that resonnate with the primary value of 'releasing substance'
to enhance mobility and movement.
Also, the material surface and product appearance will not augment an old medical device but rather advanced technology which will translate to a product life cycle fit for water.
